Description:
The bleeding needle is also called a triangular needle.
The bleeding technique concerns the complex relationship between Blood (Xue) and Energy (Qi).
The points where bleeding is performed (more than 50 according to Chinese tradition) are mainly found on Meridians with more Blood than Qi (Tae Yang, Yang Ming, Tsiue Inn). On other meridians, some points may also be used, especially TING points, where energy is just emerging.
Reusable needles to be sterilized, with a slightly beveled tip to facilitate incision.

How to use these bleeding needles:
Disinfect the skin area thoroughly
Perform a firm and well-measured puncture
Apply a compress afterwards to promote hemostasis

In Classical Chinese Medicine, the Luo vessels (luò mài) are secondary branches of the meridian system, often associated with the management of unexpressed emotions, old stagnations, and unresolved trauma.

The Luo bleeding technique involves using a bleeding needle—usually a small lancet—to release a small amount of blood from a Luo point. This practice aims to:
- Release pathogenic accumulations (stagnant blood, heat, repressed emotions)
- Relieve chronic symptoms linked to emotional blockages
- “Empty the reservoir” so the main meridian can flow freely again
- Treat deep or somatized emotional disorders (anger, sadness, grief)
