Usage:
Its use allows to heat the acupuncture points and to direct the circulation of Qi inside the meridians, so as to obtain better therapeutic results.
The use of Moxa is one of the oldest therapeutic forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The blocked vital energy can again be released by the action of the heat produced by the combustion of mugwort, above certain specific acupuncture points.
The practice of moxibustion aims to repel the cold and release moisture in the meridians. According to the Western conception, heat treatment contributes to improving the blood supply to the tissues, to stimulating the organic functions and to strengthening the immune defences.
