The Yu Ping Feng formula, also known as ""Jade Windscreen"" in English, is characterized by its role in strengthening the body's protective barrier, which could be compared to a ""jade fence"" that protects against external influences. Ingredients:
A daily dose of 9g corresponds to the quantities of dry plants in the form of a dry extract:
HUANG QI – Astragalus membranaceus 4.50g
FANG FENG – Saposhnikovia divaricata 1.5g
BAI ZHU – Atractylodes macocephala 1.5g
SHENG JIANG – Zingiber officinalis 0.60g
DA ZAO – Ziziphus jujube 0.60g
Bulking agent: corn starch

Recommended dosage:
Take 3g (i.e. 3 scoops), maximum 3 times a day diluted in hot water, 30 min. before or after meals.

Contraindications:
Acute and severe Blood deficiency (due to a hemorrhage, for example)

Analysis of the composition:
In the original formula, it was specified to grind into fine powder Huang Qi, Bai Zhu and Fang Feng and then swallow the powder together with Sheng-Jiang (fresh ginger) and Da Zao (dried jujube) decoction. In order to offer moderne ready-to-eat formats (concentrated powders, tablets), we had to include these two non-sprayable herbs from the original ""SAN"" with the other three herbs.
· HUANG QI: Tonifies the Qi, more specifically the Wei Qi ; stabilizes the Lung and the Spleen
· BAI ZHU : Tonifies the Spleen Qi and, indirectly, the Lung
· FANG FENG : circulates with the Wei Qi and fights on the Surface against Wind penetration.
The combination of these three ingredients helps to expel the pathogenic external energies by tonifying the internal healthy energy.

· SHENG JIANG: Disperses the Cold Wind from the ""Biao"" (Surface) stimulationg the opening of skin pores and sewating
· DA ZAO: Heads towards the Spleen and Stomach, invigorates and benefits the Qi. Nourishes the Blood, calms the mind, moderates and harmonizes the divergent effects othe other herns in the formula.
