Other names: Sheng Chen Pi, Guan Chen Pi, Xin Hui Pi
Description: Tangerine Peel.
Color can range from orange-red to reddish-brown

Properties:
Nature: Warm.
Taste: Acrid, pungent, bitter, aromatic.
Organ: Spleen, Lungs, Stomach.
Toxicity: Non toxic.

Actions and indications:
Regulates the Qi.
Regulates the Middle.
Dries Dampness.
Transforms Phlegm.

Spleen/Stomach Qi Stagnation with epigastric or abdominal distention, fullness, bloating, belching, nausea and vomiting.
Phlegm-Damp Obstructs the Lung with coughs with a stifling sensation in the chest and/or diaphragm and copious, viscous sputum.
Turbid Damp Obstructs the Middle with a stifling sensation in the chest, abdominal distention, anorexia, fatigue, loose stools and a thick, greasy tongue coat

Ingredients:
A daily dose of 18 capsules corresponds to the quantities of dry plants in the form of a dry extract:
Citrus reticulata Pericarpe (CHEN PI) 9g
Bulking agent: corn starch

Recommended dosage:
Take 6 capsules 3 times a day at most, with hot water before or after meals.

Contraindications:
Internal Heat excess (red tongue, scanty saliva).
Contraindicated in patients with dry cough due to Yin or Qi Insufficiency.
Contraindicated for patients with Stomach Fire causing vomiting and nausea.
Avoid using materials of a warm, hot, aromatic or drying nature.
Use with caution in those with Excess Heat symptoms (red tongue).
Use with caution for those with Liquid Insufficiency.
Prolonged use can damage Yuan Qi.
Contraindicated for those with abdominal pain.
Contraindicated if there are no Humidity-Tan symptoms.
