Indications:
Atrophy disorder due to Liver and Kidney Deficiency. There is Heat from Deficiency in these organs, and also Deficiency in their associated substances, Blood and Essence.
Possible symptoms and diseases:
Sequelae of poliomyelitis
Tuberculosis in the bones or joints (knees)
Myopathy
Weakness in the lower back and knees
Deterioration of tendons and bones with general functional reduction
Reduction of the muscles of the lower extremities
Dificulty to walk
Lumbar pain
Flaccid Muscles
Dizziness
Tinnitus
Red tongue
Pulse Xi (fine), Ruo (weak) and often Shu (fast)
Contraindications:
Atrophy due to insufficiency of Yin with an insufficiency of Fire in the Liver and Kidney.
