The Excel II pointer plus, is a portable electro acupuncture device, with digital display, audible signal and indicator light (green diode).

This device has many settings that make it possible to easily detect or stimulate acupuncture points (dispersion or toning function by micro-current).
Easy to use and very ergonomic, this point detector is composed of a button allowing to act directly on the acupuncture point, just after its detection by releasing a light electric current. The mechanism of the Excel II detector includes the correction of very small variations in applied pressure.


Two different probes are provided for different applications. The smaller probe should be used for localization and care for points in the ears; While the larger one is more suitable for points on the body.
The degree of sensitivity for detection is adjustable which is very useful because the device can be used with different types of skin (dry skin or more humid skin).
The stimulation can be gently increased by slightly wetting the patient's skin.
HOW TO USE THE DEVICE:
Insert the 9V battery into the battery holder, respecting the positive and negative poles. It is recommended to use 9V alkaline batteries, as these are the ones that get the best results.
Select the appropriate probe for the ears or points of the body. For proper use, touch the silver metal sheet on the side of the device, then head to the location of the point. Press a little on each point, because the probe uses an intermittent mechanism or it is necessary to maintain a constant pressure during the localization of the point.
When the desired acupuncture point is located, the device begins to emit a continuous hum. At the same time the light diode next to the APD / STI button lights up, and the indicator remains constant. The buzz emitted by the device can be turned off or reduced by manipulating the metal plate with your thumb.
If you wish to stimulate the localized point with the electric current at this time, simply adjust the intensity with the INT button to an acceptable level and press the APD / STI button. When you stop pressing this key, the device immediately returns to the detection function. When the APD / STI button is pressed again, another stimulation current of the same power as the previous use will be produced. It is recommended to start the treatment by adjusting the intensity to a very low level and then turn the INT knob gradually until you reach the desired intensity level.During use, the manual electrode must be connected to the device using the cable. The patient must hold the electrode to close the electrical circuit, as this activates the detection of points and stimulation functions. Switch off the device after use and remove the batteries when you are not going to use it for a period of time extended.
DURATION OF APPLICATION:
The duration of the treatment and the stimulation time depend on the point or area to be relieved and other factors. Generally, the duration of application varies between 3 and 20 seconds, the most used being 3.5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds. Only longer use should be applied in certain specific cases. The most suitable duration for an application must be established by the practitioner according to his experience and knowledge.
