Contraindications:
Licorice, with repeated intake, is contraindicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and in individuals suffering from high blood pressure, kidney insufficiency, hypertonicity, hyperglycemia, osteoporosis, and excessive general secretions.
Incompatible with aspirin, corticosteroids, contraceptive pills, as well as diuretics, and cardiac glycosides such as Digoxin, Hemigoxin Nativelle®, or Lanoxin®.
People with excessive dampness with nausea, vomiting, and abdominal fullness.
Individuals who frequently consume alcohol.
High doses (more than 35 g per week) may create an imbalance of sodium/potassium in the blood, leading to edema and heart palpitations.
