Harmonizes the Stomach
Indication:
Hernia with abdominal pain and dysmenorrhea due to stagnation of Cold in the Liver meridian.
Stagnation of Cold and Qi in the middle Jiao to regulate Qi Spleen and Stomach and thus stop the pain and vomiting.
Comparisons:
Hu Lu Ba clears Cold from the Lower Burner, and warms without drying (chronic diseases).
Warning:
Contraindicated if there are signs of Heat due to insufficiency of Yin.
Contraindicated for patients with Stomach Fire.
Use with caution during pregnancy.
Standard daily dose: 3-6g
Note: Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding, and may sometimes cause dyspnoea, loss of consciousness, and death.
